This is the podcast what got me hooked on Radiolab. I remember listening to this podcast and when it was finished, I just had to sit and stare off into space. In terms of technical approaches, Radiolab’s ability to blend music into a story about music was simple and effective, it was beautiful. To this day, it is one of my favorite podcasts.
For the past four years I have been a student in Dr. Bartlett’s ECMO lab at the University of Michigan. The lab work is surgery based so I am in constant contact with blood and I don’t see it as anything more than a red liquid. This podcast was not only interesting, but the different stories made me stop and think about how blood is much more than just a vicious liquid running through our veins.
